An investigation by Hopkinsville Police Sunday afternoon led to the arrest of a local man on methamphetamine charges.
Officer Tyler Hancock observed 31-year old Christopher Edmonson of Hopkinsville leaving the area of a known narcotics location, according to an arrest citation, which says Edmonson agreed to stop and talk with police.
He gave consent to search his person and police say they found meth and a cut straw inside a container.
Edmonson was arrested and charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
