There is only one day left in the 2019 session of the Kentucky General Assembly later this month.
Ninth District State Representative Myron Dossett of Pembroke says it doesn’t look like there will be enough support to raise the tax on gasoline—though he feels it could have been used to improve Kentucky roads.
One bill that did make it to the Governor’s desk on the final day before the veto recess was a House bill supported by Representative Walker Thomas regarding freedom of speech on college campuses.
Senator Whitney Westerfield of Christian County wants to see pension relief for quasi-governmental agencies on the session’s final day and he has a couple other priorities.
