Elkton woman injured in crash on 68, wrong-way driver charged with DUI and assault

A man was charged with DUI and assault late Tuesday night after he caused a crash on US 68 in Logan County that sent an Elkton woman and Auburn man to an area hospital.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Department investigated and determined Patrick Sullivan of Pennsylvania had been headed west in the eastbound lanes in a minivan without his headlights on at about 11 p.m.

He collided with a truck driven by Ty Burchett of Auburn and Burchett’s overturned vehicle was then struck by an automobile operated by Chellsea Bell of Elkton.

Burchett and Bell were taken to the Medical Center in Bowling Green with non-life-threatening injuries.

Sullivan was charged with aggravated DUI, two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
