A new partnership with the Kentucky Career Center will provide free employment and training opportunities to the approximately 400 service members who transition each month from Fort Campbell to civilian careers.
Services include job referrals, job search, training and educational opportunities, resume assistance, skills assessments and referrals to other government agency services and programs across the state such as apprenticeship and on-the-job training, according to a news release.
The Career Center staff member is co-located with the Soldier for Life – Transition Assistance Program, which provides opportunities and courses to military service members and their spouses.
Workforce Development Cabinet Deputy Secretary Josh Benton says, “This new partnership with Fort Campbell creates an opportunity for us to connect soldiers and their families with resources and employment opportunities in Kentucky. With their service record and many exceptional qualities, transitioning servicemen and women are invaluable to our workforce and communities.”
