A traffic stop on Morningside Drive Sunday afternoon led to the arrest of a man on gun charges.
Hopkinsville Police Sgt. Ed Eastman stopped 25-year old Dajuan Quarles of Hopkinsville for having expired tags and a computer check showed Quarles was also sought on a warrant for failing to appear in court.
An arrest citation says there was an odor of marijuana coming from the car and a search allegedly revealed a rifle and a revolver.
Quarles was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, not having registration on his car and with not having proof of insurance.
