The Pennyrile region of Western Kentucky and middle Tennessee are under a slight risk for severe weather Saturday.
Severe thunderstorms will be most likely Saturday afternoon and the primary threats will be damaging winds and heavy rain. Large hail and an isolated tornado will also be possible.
While the risk is for our entire listening area, the National Weather Service says the threat becomes greater the farther south and west you go. Far western Kentucky is under an enhanced risk for severe weather.
A Wind Advisory is also in effect from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday for western Kentucky.
