CCHS senior recognized for 4H accomplishments

A Christian County High School Senior has been recognized for his accomplishments as a member of 4H.

Andrew Sanderson is one of 30 4H members in Kentucky to receive the prestigious ‘Gold Achievement Award.’

The Christian County 4H organization says Sanderson has been involved in the 4-H Livestock Club, Teen Council, 4-H Farm Day, and a teen counselor for 4-H Camp.

He is also a certified welder and he is a volunteer firefighter for the Pembroke Fire Department. He is able to help with a Fire Safety Day, educating youth on safety measures and fire prevention.

Gold Competitive Achievement winners receive a full scholarship to the Kentucky 4-H Teen Conference on the University of Kentucky Campus in June and a scholarship to attend the National 4-H Congress Conference in Atlanta this fall.
