Boys Sweet 16: Top ranked Scott County survives & Butler wins in OT

Afternoon games at the Boys Sweet 16 in Rupp Arena saw Butler edge Perry County Central 65-62 in overtime. The Bears improved to 26-7 with the win. In a rematch of last year’s state final, top ranked Scott County held on to defeat Covington Catholic 64-61 . The Cardinals had a 60-41 lead with 1;34 left before Covington Catholic rallied to within a point at 62-61. Scott County improved to 33-3 on the season and meets Butler in quarterfinal action tomorrow night.
