Two Greenville residents were arrested on drug trafficking charges Wednesday by Kentucky State Police in Muhlenberg County.
According to a news release, a trooper was travelling in the area of West Reservoir Avenue in Central City around 8 p.m. Wednesday when he reportedly observed a vehicle driving without its license plate illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and when contact was made with the driver, 19-year old Harley Anderson of Greenville, a strong smell of marijuana reportedly came from the vehicle.
A passenger in the vehicle, 23-year old Kaleb Killibrew of Greenville, allegedly had two outstanding warrants out for his arrest. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a substantial amount of prescription pills, a large amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and over $2,000 in cash.
Both were arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Anderson was also charged with DUI and several traffic violations. Killibrew was additionally charged with giving officers a false name, theft of identity and two warrants for failure to appear in both Muhlenberg and Christian County.
