Woman hurt in I-24 crash in Christian Co.

A Chicago woman was hurt in a wreck in Christian County Saturday near the 75 mile marker of I-24.

According to the report from Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Rusty Rosencrance, the vehicle operated by 44-year old Steven Duignan of Chicago was traveling eastbound near the 75 mile marker when the front right tire blew out. The vehicle made an abrupt right turn into the guardrail, causing the wheel to break off.

The automobile continued another 15 to 20 feet before coming to a stop. A passenger in the vehicle, 46-year old Colleen Duignan of Chicago, was taken to Tennova Health Hospital for neck pain.
