Crofton woman arrested on drug charges

A traffic stop on North Main Street in Hopkinsville Sunday afternoon led to the arrest of a passenger for drug charges.

Hopkinsville Police Officer Samantha Rodriguez stopped a vehicle for a minor traffic violation and approached the automobile to find 31-year old Ricci-Renee Stanley of Crofton zipping up her pants, according to an arrest citation, which says there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from her person.

Stanley gave consent to search and police say they found two prescription pain pills, two syringes, methamphetamine and marijuana. Stanley reportedly admitted to stuffing the needles and marijuana into her pants during the traffic stop.

Stanley was arrested and charged with possession of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia and with tampering with evidence.
