Madisonville used a 24-3 third quarter run to eliminate Christian County 67-53. The Colonels led 29-26 at the half before the Maroons made their run to put the game away.Eric Brody, in his final game, had 25 points and Damikeon Mathis added 13 as the Colonels finish the season 15-17. Madisonville had three players in double figures led by Cade Cunningham’s 18 points in winning their 20th straight game in improving to 27-5.
Henderson County won the opening game of the night defeating Lyon County 75-65. Corey Stewart led the Colonels with 27 points in improving to 16-11. Jackson Shoulders had a game high 22 points to lead the Lyons who finish 21-10.
Henderson County and Madisonville will meet in the second semifinal game Friday night in Madisonville at 7:30, following University Heights and Caldwell County who play at 6 pm.
