The Department for Community Based Services has announced that most SNAP benefits for March will be distributed this Friday, March 1st.
The schedule change shortens the time recipients have to wait for additional food assistance benefits following changes that had to be made last month due to the partial federal government shutdown.
Assistance benefits for recipients will be loaded to customer accounts/EBT cards. Customers can use these funds immediately at any authorized retailer.
Officials remind SNAP beneficiaries they will not receive any additional SNAP benefits for the month of March.
