University Heights had five players in double figures as the Blazers routed Crittenden County 84-42. Drew McGowan led the scoring with 17 points followed by KyKy Tandy, TaQuan Hollowell and Will Bryan each with 13 and KJ Crump with 10 as University Heights improved to 29-4. Crittenden County was led by Tyler Boone’s 13 points in ending the season 11-19.
The nightcap went to Caldwell County who held off Union County 67-64. Derrin Boyd had 21 points to lead the 19-10 Tigers while Kale Gaither led the Braves with 18 points as Union County finishes 19-9. University Heights and Caldwell County meet in the first semifinal game Friday night at 6 pm in Madisonville.
