The Hopkinsville Police Department arrested a Hopkinsville man Sunday on charges of possession of methamphetamine and tampering with physical evidence.
According to the police report, officers were dispatched the area of Alumni Avenue for reports of a suspicious male suspect who was allegedly checked whether cars in the area were unlocked. Upon arrival, officers spotted 28-year old Trevor Adcock of Hopkinsville in the front yard of a residence on Alumni. As officers approached, Adcock allegedly walked around the house into the backyard, ignoring multiple calls for his attention.
Contact was made with Adcock in the backyard of the home by some steps, and a search of his driver’s license revealed an active warrant out for his arrest. He was taken into custody and a board search of the area allegedly revealed a sock hidden under the steps Adcock had been standing near.
Inside the sock was reportedly a pipe used from smoking methamphetamine, which contained meth residue.
Adcock is charged with possession of meth, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
