A Crofton man was arrested Sunday after allegedly cutting television cables behind Bainbrook Apartments on West Mill Street.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department report, deputies responded to the apartments around 11:30 a.m. for reports that 45-year old Michael Bourland of Croton was using wire cutters to cut cables for cable television and dish television units at the apartments. He was reportedly upset because Dish Network had cut his service and he was tampering with the utility box in an attempt to restore service.
Deputies made contact with Bourland, who allegedly was actively cutting wires at a cable junction box with a wire cutting tool at the time of their arrival. He was taken into custody without incident.
Damage to wiring and the junction box was estimated to be around $1,000. Bourland is charged with felony first-degree criminal mischief.
