Renovations continue apace at the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County on East Ninth Street and the fundraising campaign to support those efforts is still ongoing.
Appearing on WHOP recently, Executive Director Alissa Keller says crews have been hard at work for about 2 months and are working quickly.
She says while the renovations are underway, they’re also working for a specialist firm to design new, interactive exhibits.
Keller says this is the first major renovation the building has undergone and she’s very excited to see what the result will be.
The Museums were recently awarded a $3,165 check from Planter’s Bank as part of their Season of Giving campaign and Keller says the fundraising for their capital campaign to help pay for the renovations continues. The goal is to raise $500,000.
