What began as investigation by Hopkinsville police into a possible burglary in progress ended in the arrest of a Hopkinsville woman on drug charges.
According to the police report, officers responded to a Cedar Lane residence for a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the caller, who stated that there were individuals trying to break in her daughter’s—28-year old Alexius Lee—home.
During a protective sweep of the residence to check for intruders, officers reportedly saw drugs in plain sight. A search warrant was obtained and revealed cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Lee was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
