Crash ends in Little River, teen injured

A Hopkinsville teen was injured in a single-vehicle crash that ended with the vehicle she was driving going into Little River on Cox Mill Road.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, a vehicle driven by 16-year old Chandler Adams of Hopkinsville was traveling south bound on Cox Mill Road Thursday around 10 p.m. when her tires reportedly went off the right side of the road way for an unknown reason. It struck part of a concrete block on the northwest side of Little River bridge, then travelled down the embankment and into the river.

It came to stop in the river on its driver side submerged in the river. Adams was reportedly able to unbuckle herself and exit the vehicle.  She was able to make it to a friend’s house and call for help.

She was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries to her arms and hands.
