Reds Gennett wonders why the team won’t talk long term contract

Cincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett says he is miffed by the club’s indifference to discuss a long-term contract. Gennett is willing to negotiate a multi-year contract, but says he has not heard back from the front office. Gennett will make just less than ten-million dollars this year. In two seasons with Cincinnati, Gennett has hit .303 with 50 home runs, 52 doubles and 189 RBIs. He turns 30 on May 1st.
