Second round play was suspended due to darkness at the PGA Tour’s Genesis Open outside of Los Angeles. All players were able to complete their first rounds Friday after rains on Thursday.

Louisville area native Justin Thomas stands at 10 under through 12 holes in his second round and is tied with Adam Scott who played 11 holes of his second round. Campbellsville native JB Holmes is one shot off the lead at nine under through nine holes of his second round. Second round play concludes this morning, with the cut to be made followed by third round action.

Sandy Lyle and Stephen Ames matched the course record at eight-under 63 to share the first-round lead at the PGA Tour Champions’ Chubb Classic in Naples, FL. Paducah’s Russ Cochran fired an opening round three over par 74.
