A Christian County Grand Jury returned multiple indictments Friday, including for charges of sexual abuse, assault, burglary and attempted robbery.
In a direct submission to the grand jury, 24-year old Isaiah Frazier of Hopkinsville was indicted on charges of first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy, first-degree distributing obscene material to minors and third-degree terroristic threatening. Few details are available, though the alleged offense reportedly occurred in December against a minor under the age of 12.
Also indicted for first-degree sexual abuse is 25-year old Deanthony Buckner of Hopkinsville, who allegedly climbed into a bed with the 15-year old female victim in October of 2018 and inserted his fingers into her. He reportedly stopped after about a minute.
Forty-eight year old Billy Sanders of Hopkinsville was indicted on charges of second-degree assault, two counts of retaliating against a participant in a legal process and attempted theft by unlawful taking. He allegedly attempted to steal items from the victim’s vehicle in January by the car alarm went off and the victim confronted him with a handgun. The victim chased Sanders into Riverside Cemetery and a physical altercation occurred, where Sanders allegedly struck the victim in the head with a rock, causing visible injuries.
Sanders was placed under arrest and while on the way to the Christian County Jail allegedly told officers he intended to purchase a gun when he got out and kill the victim. He also reportedly stated that when he arrived at the jail, he was going to place a phone call and ‘have his buddies’ kill the victim.
Indicted for first-degree attempted robbery and first-degree burglary are 19-year old Juandez Bussell and 19-year old Tequan Owen, both of Hopkinsville, who allegedly attempted to commit a robbery on a Greenville Road residence in September 2017. In the course of the crime, a male victim was shot in the leg. A gun used in the incident is alleged to be the same one used in a robbery of the Circle K gas station in October 2017, following investigation.
