Coal is an important part of our electricity generation mix and @TVAnews should give serious consideration to all factors before voting to close viable power plants, like Paradise #3 in Kentucky!

President Trump has joined Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Governor Matt Bevin, Congressman James Comer and others urging TVA to keep the Paradise Unit 3 coal burning power plant in Muhlenberg County open.
The President tweeted Monday afternoon, saying, “coal is an important part of our electricity generation mix,” and says TVA should, “give serious consideration to all factors before voting to close viable power plants.”
The TVA Board could decide as soon as this week and Senator McConnell says Kentucky needs the Paradise plant.
He says the TVA Board should wait until vacant seats are filled before voting.
Congressman Comer thanked the President for his support and says keeping Paradise #3 open is the right decision. Governor Bevin say Kentucky must never lose the ability to effectively use all the resources we have.
Grateful to the @POTUS, @realDonaldTrump for standing up for the importance of an affordable and reliable electricity grid and the working men and women who make that possible for their fellow Americans..We must never lose our ability to effectively use all the resources we have https://t.co/s3nUiNAjv1
