Woman injured after car strikes tree on Means Avenue

A Hopkinsville woman was injured after her car struck a tree in the front yard of a Means Avenue residence.

It happened just before 11 a.m. Sunday and the report from Hopkinsville Police says 56-year old Marilyn Jackson of Hopkinsville was attempting to park her car behind another vehicle in the driveway at 139 Means.

She opened her driver’s side door before noticing she needed to pull forward more and that’s when her foot slipped off the brake and she rear-ended the parked vehicle.

Jackson’s car then traveled down a small slope and struck a tree. She was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for leg pain.
