Additional details have been released on a single-vehicle accident Friday afternoon on Old Madisonville Road that sent a passenger to a Nashville hospital.
The report from Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Burgess says 17-year old Trace Pound of Hopkinsville had been northbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his car as it crested a hill.
The vehicle went off the left shoulder of the road, struck an embankment, overturned and slid upside down across the road before striking a utility pole.
A passenger, 18-year old Quey Breatford of Hopkinsville, crawled out of the car and collapsed on the road. He was flown by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
Pound and another passenger were not injured.
