A hit and run collision Friday night on West Seventh Street sent a local woman to the hospital.
The collision report from HPD says 25-year old Deerica Elliott of Hopkinsville was stopped at a red light when she was rear-ended by an eastbound car—possibly a white Pontiac.
The driver of that vehicle then fled the scene and was not located.
Elliott was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Her passengers declined a trip to the hospital.
