ESPN reports Kentucky defensive coordinator Matt House is reportedly headed to the Kansas City Chiefs as the new linebackers coach. WKYT-Lexington reports House went to Kansas City today to meet with Chiefs officials. A source also told WKYT House hasn’t accepted the offer, but as of last night the university believed it was close to keeping him in Lexington.
Kentucky’s defense made a jump to historic heights this past season, allowing just 16.8 points per game and 337.9 yards per contest. They finished the year ranked sixth in scoring defense and 23rd in the nation in total offense allowed in 2018.
