Two women were murdered Thursday night in Murray and a suspect was arrested.
Murray Police were dispatched to a home on Catalina Drive about 9:45 p.m. after a caller to 911 said they returned home to find a woman who appeared to be deceased in their garage.
Investigation determined the woman lived next door and a search of her home revealed a second deceased female. Officers also located a suspect in a bathroom and took 51-year old Shannon Scott of Murray into custody without incident.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, first-degree burglary, tampering with evidence and cruelty to animals.
Police say it is believed to be an isolated incident and the two victims were transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville for autopsy.
