Report: Man admitted to stealing copper wire from City Salvage

A man has been charged with the theft of copper wiring from City Salvage.

An arrest citation for 71-year old Richard Henry Wilford of Hopkinsville says he admitted to Christian County sheriff’s deputies that he entered the City Salvage property multiple times over the period of several months and stole wiring.

He estimated he had received between $600 and $700 by selling the stolen wire.

Wilford is charged with felony theft by unlawful taking.
