A woman was shot to death inside her home Monday night in Madisonville.
Dominick Yarbrough called 911 about 10:30 p.m. and said his fiancée had been shot at 514 Sugg Street, according to a news release from Madisonville Police.
Arriving officers found Yarbrough outside the couple’s home. His fiancée, Ashley Egan, was located unresponsive on the living room floor. She was transported to Baptist Health Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Yarbrough was injured and was also taken by ambulance to the hospital. The extent or type of his injuries isn’t specified by police.
A handgun was used to shoot Egan, according to the news release.
