Investigation into an armed burglary Monday night at the Woodland Heights Apartment Complex led to an arrest.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Department arrested 20-year old Tavaris Williams of Clarksville for first-degree burglary and two counts of fourth-degree assault.
Williams had allegedly pushed open a door at an apartment while holding a gun and demanded to see his children and take them from their mother.
An arrest citation says he hit his girlfriend’s sister on the head as she tried to stop him and then struck his girlfriend on the face.
Williams was located in another apartment about an hour later and was taken into custody.
