The Cincinnati Reds are reportedly close to a deal to acquire pitcher Sonny Gray from the New York Yankees. Reports indicate the two teams have agreed to the trade package, but the Reds want to sign Gray to an extension before finalizing it. Cincinnati has been given 72 hours, which ends tonight, to negotiate with Gray. Whether Gray agrees to an extension could effect the return. Gray is eligible for free agency after this season.
