Crofton man served with stalking warrant

An arrest warrant for stalking was served Wednesday night against a Crofton man.

It alleges that on January 3rd, 60-year old William Allen Travis of Crofton knocked on the door of a woman’s home and then entered uninvited. He allegedly took the victim by the arm, walked her to the couch and said he had been watching her for three months.

The woman told Travis she knew that he was married and ordered him to leave. The victim told Travis she had a gun when he refused to go and Travis showed the woman he had a gun under his pant leg.

Travis allegedly grabbed the woman and forced her to kiss him twice and made vulgar sexual remarks before leaving. He reportedly told her not to tell anyone he had been at her home.

The victim reported that Travis came to her place of employment twice the following day and another time four days later.

He was arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department Wednesday night on a warrant for first-degree stalking and was released from the Christian County Jail within a few hours on a $5,000 bond.
