Two Elkton men arrested on meth charges

Two Elkton men were arrested on methamphetamine related charges Tuesday evening by Kentucky State Police.

According to a news release, troopers Hunter Carroll and Curtis Crick responded to an Elkton residence around 8:30 p.m. to serve an arrest warrant against 67-year old Jimmy Brumfield. They discovered Brumfield and another man, 60-year old Carl Ricchuite of Elkton, in an outbuilding on the property and obtained a search warrant.

A search of the building allegedly revealed an amount of suspected methamphetamine. Both men were arrested with Brumfield charged with trafficking in meth, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of meth and tampering with physical evidence.

Ricchuite was charged with possession of meth and tampering with physical evidence.
