Two hospitalized after SUV strikes tractor in Todd County

Two people were hospitalized after an SUV struck a tractor on KY 181 in southern Todd County Saturday morning.

It happened near the Penchem community and the report from the Todd County Sheriff’s Department says 78-year old Christine Kiser of Elkton was attempting to pass a southbound tractor operated by 16-year old Albert Yoder of Trenton when the corner of her SUV struck the tire of the tractor.

The rear end of the tractor was pinned between the SUV and the concrete curbing of a bridge.

The tractor broke in half, coming to rest in a field, with Yoder ejected.

Kiser’s SUV left the road and went down an embankment before coming to rest in a field.

Both drivers were taken by EMS to Tennova Health Hospital in Clarksville for treatment of injuries.
