An arrest warrant for robbery and assault was served Wednesday against a local man who was already in jail for violating a restraining order.
It alleges that on December 17th, 38-year old John Trump of Hopkinsville forced his way into the front door of a home, took a woman’s cell phone and then assaulted her.
The victim sustained minor injuries the incident and was unable to immediately call for help due to her phone being taken.
Trump is charged with second-degree robbery, fourth-degree assault (dating violence) and unlawful imprisonment.
