A Bowling Green woman is facing multiple charges following a Christmas morning pursuit that began in Russellville and ended in Muhlenberg.
According to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, deputies and officers with the Russellville Police Department responded to a disturbance on North Main Street around 7:30 a.m. Christmas morning. Upon arrival, 29-year old Melissa Pace of Bowling Green—a suspect in the disturbance—was pulling out of the driveway and a pursuit began.
Pace allegedly led law enforcement down North Main Street to the U.S. 68 Bypass, through Lewisburg, into Todd County and into Muhlenberg county before her vehicle became stuck in a field. Pace was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, DUI, criminal mischief, possession of methamphetamine and resisting arrest.
She was additionally served with warrants out of Logan County for second-degree robbery, theft of an automobile, theft by unlawful taking, theft of credit or debit cards, theft of identity and operating a vehicle with an expired license.
While in custody at Logan Memorial Hospital, Pace allegedly tried to run away on foot while handcuffed and gained an additional charge of second-degree escape.
