Some people in Hopkinsville started their Christmas festivities bright and early Christmas Eve morning with the annual Jinglebell Jog on the Hopkinsville Green Way System.
Despite with icy frost and cold temperatures, a good-sized group of people met at the North Drive trailhead to jog or walk together. Organizer Tom Hayes says this event has been taking place for several years now as a kind of companion run to the annual Turkey Trot.
He says it’s all about coming together to celebrate Christmas and have fun enjoying the Greenway.
The race is completely non-competitive and people go off on their own afterwards to enjoy the rest of their Christmas holiday. Participants were from Hopkinsville, Cadiz and further, including Montana and North Carolina.
