Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble will swear in Tyler DeArmond as Christian County sheriff on Friday of next week.
DeArmond defeated Kahle Morris, Jr. in the general election and is being sworn in about a week early as Sheriff Livy Leavell retires.
Sheriff Leavell hired DeArmond as a deputy on December 1st to ensure a smooth transition.
DeArmond was a lieutenant at the Hopkinsville Police Department before leaving to prepare for his new role.
