Murray State rallied from seven points down in the last five minutes of the game and defeated Evansville last night 66-64. Ja Morant’s layup with six-tenths of a second left proved to be the game winner. Morant had 27 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists in the victory. The Racers are back in action Saturday at Auburn.
Women’s action: Murray State fell to Southern Illinois 65-59 and return to action Friday at Kentucky, who routed Western Carolina 99-39. Other action saw 8th ranked Stanford defeat 9th ranked Tennessee 95-85 and Evansville edged Austin Peay 56-52.
