Kentucky State Police were able to collect more than 211 tons of food during their annual “Cram the Cruiser” food drive this year to help Kentucky families.
According to a news release, that’s approximately 422,662 pounds of food that was collected a various locations by KSP across the state. Commissioner Rick Sanders says, “Due to the generous giving spirit of individuals, businesses, schools and civic organizations throughout the state, we are able to assist Kentucky families who may be financially strapped this holiday season. I am heartened and uplifted by the incredible acts of charitable service and generosity made by our fellow citizens who make the success of this project possible.”
Since its inception in 2010, the Cram the Cruiser campaign has contributed nearly two million pounds of food to shelters, food banks and churches across the Commonwealth.
