The Minority Economic Development Initiative will be hosting a holiday mixer event where they will honor two local longtime business owners.
Appearing on WHOP was Executive Director Henry Snorton, who says the event will begin at 5 p.m. with socializing at 1101A South Main Street on Thursday.
He says at 6 p.m. they will honor Linda Pearson, owner of Gospel Sounds and More and Hugh Northington, the owner of Hugh Northington Barber Shop for their years of hard work and success.
Snorton says they began this program as a way to bring attention to minority businesses but also to help small businesses have their own version of a Christmas party. The event is totally free to attend and attendees are free to come and go as their schedules allow before it ends at 7 p.m.
