The Logan County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a robbery and theft of vehicle in the Rockfield community.
It happened about 5:45 p.m. Friday at 513 Stamps Road and a news release says Sonya Stamps was starting her van to go to the store when an unknown female came around another vehicle in her driveway and appeared to be under the influence.
A struggle ensued between the two women and the suspect was able to gain control of the van and left with the vehicle.
The suspect is described as a white female in her mid-20’s to early 30’s with long dark hair. She stands between 5-2 and 5-4 and weighs 100-120 pounds. The tan 2009 Dodge Caravan has a sticker on the back glass that says “In Memory of Cornwall Stamps.”
Anyone seeing the van or with information on the suspect should call the Logan County Sheriff’s Department or their local law enforcement agency.
