Boys: Christian County won its third straight game in handing Henderson County its first loss of the season 79-71. Christian County led the game by as many as 17 with Henderson County cutting the deficit to five on a couple of occasions but could get no closer.Eric Brody led a quartet of double figure scorers for Christian County with 18 points, Fred Tandy pitched in 16 with Olajawon White and DeMikeon Mathis each scoring 14 as the southern Colonels improved to 3-2 on the season. Henderson County fell to 5-1.
The Hopkinsville Tigers routed Hopkins Central at Tiger Gym 77-40. James Nicholas led the Tigers with 23 points with Don Victor adding 14 and Jacarius Burks added 10 as Hopkinsville improved to 5-2 on the season.
In other boys action: Fort Campbell eased by Christian Fellowship 69-60, Lyon County defeated Trigg County 59-50, Greenwood defeated South Warren 58-47, Calloway County over Hickman County 61-46, Livingston Central topped Crittenden County 64-53, Paducah Tilghman bounced St. Mary 73-40, Mayfield routed Carlisle County 75-42.
Girls: Calloway County defeated Christian County 62-52, Caldwell County topped University Heights 55-30, Russellville routed Fredrick Fraize 77-34, Lyon County over Trigg County 52-39, Webster County blasted Madisonville 85-41, South Warren routed Greenwood 59-28, Paducah Tilghman over St. Mary 64-44, Muhlenberg County edged Murray 50-46. Crittenden County crushed Livingston Central 49-28, Henderson County defeated McCracken County 63-48.
