The Way Christian Youth Center in Cadiz is in the middle of their Season of Giving fundraising campaign and thanks to the generosity of donors, up to $10,000 will be matched.
Carl Heckman with the Way appeared on WHOP recently and says the Youth Center is a non-profit after school and weekend program where youth in the community can go and have a safe place to play and learn. He says the program provides food and tutoring opportunities as well.
He says the money raised will go towards paying off the costs of their new building and they can start really focusing on the kids and programs.
He says they have been really blessed by generosity in the community so far and if anyone wants to help out there are several ways they can donate.
Heckman says a couple that has helped them many times before will be matching all donations up to $10,000. This matching will end on December 31 so Heckman asks that people donate during that time if possible.
