State Representative Lynn Bechler of Marion has been chosen by House Leadership to chair the Budget Review Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Protection, Tourism and Energy for his upcoming term in the Kentucky General Assembly.
A news release says that subcommittee works on budget matters covering a wide range of state government, including the Cabinet for Economic Development, Energy, Tourism, Arts, and Heritage, and Public Protection.
Representative Bechler says, “I am honored to have the confidence of leadership to serve the people of our area in this capacity, and look forward to working on the extraordinary task of writing the state budget. Every dollar spent by state government belongs to the taxpayer, and fiscal responsibility will be a main focus of mine in this role.”
Bechler represents a portion of Christian County and all of Caldwell, Crittenden and Livingston counties.
