Dossett Thomas
State Representatives Myron Dossett and Walker Thomas of Christian County have been appointed to chair House committees during the next two years.
Dossett has been chosen by House Leadership to chair both the House Budget Review Subcommittee on Personnel, Public Retirement and Finance and the Tobacco Settlement Agreement Fund Oversight Committee.
Dossett says, “Both agriculture and the allocation of dollars in the state budget are very important to our part of the state, and I look forward to using my chairmanships to give Western Kentucky a strong seat at the table.”
Meanwhile, Representative Thomas has been selected to chair the Capital Projects and Bond Oversight Committee, which provides oversight on matters involving state funds for capital projects and emergency repair, state property leases, and the issuances of state bonds for various building projects, including for local school districts and universities.
