Christian County wrestling is five time Kings at the King of the Bluegrass

Christian County won the King of the Bluegrass event for the fifth straight season over the weekend. The Colonels won six championships in the event
led by Gage Fowler at 113, Ethan Wells at 126, Jakerion Merritt at 132, Neal Aldridge at 145, Antonio Abren at 182, and Niko Bussell at 220. Also placing for the Colonels were Cameron Coleman runner-up at 170, Markus Green runner-up at 285, Michael Elkins 3rd at 220, and JaRi Campbell 4th at 106.

Meanwhile, the Christian County Middle School team finished third in their version of the King of the Bluegrass Tournament.

The Varsity Colonels next compete Friday and Saturday in the Tiger Classic at Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and the Middle School Colonels next wrestle in the Toyota of Hopkinsville Christian County Invitational December 21st.
