Kentucky senior Josh Allen was awarded with the Chuck Bednarik Award during last night’s College Football Awards ceremony in Atlanta. The Bednarik Award is presented annually to the nation’s best defensive player. Allen’s win marks the first time a Kentucky player has won the Bednarik Award. Kentucky closes its season New Year’s Day against Penn State in the Citrus Bowl.
