Suspect located after crashing stolen car on Dawson Springs Road

A man fled the scene after crashing a stolen car on Dawson Springs Road Friday morning, but was soon located a short distance away.

It happened just north of Dink Embry’s Buttermilk Road and Hopkinsville Police Captain Greg Koehler spoke to WHOP News at the scene, saying they were able to quickly locate a suspect.

Officers detained 43-year old John Paul Hill at the Dawson Road Copper Still location and determined he had lacerations to his head and a bloody nose. He was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.

A computer check showed Hill was sought on warrants and that the car had been reported as stolen. Several charges were likely pending against Hill, following treatment at the hospital.
